Ernst Rodiek

Ernst Rodiek (born February 9, 1903 in Osternburg , † December 20, 1980 in Delmenhorst ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Rodiek was born the son of a farmer. After graduating from elementary school, he first attended the adult education center for technology and then the administration school. He then worked in his father's company for three years. This was followed by an apprenticeship as a ship fitter, which he completed with the journeyman's examination. He worked for seventeen years in shipbuilding in Bremen, most recently as a technical employee in cost accounting. In 1925 he joined the union.

Rodiek joined the SPD in 1945. He was since 1945 Board member of the community Altenesch , 1972 in the course of municipal reform in Lower Saxony in Lemwerder was renamed. In 1946 he was elected mayor of the community. He was also a member of the district council of the Wesermarsch district . In addition, he was a member of the supervisory board of the non-profit housing company Wesermarsch mbH in Brake and the Fähr-GmbH Berne-Farge in Bremen as well as chairman of the board of the Raiffeisenbank of the municipality of Lemwerder- (Altenesch).

Rodiek belonged to the Bundestag in the third electoral term, but only from July 15, 1960, when he moved up for the deceased MP Hans Jahn on the state list of Lower Saxony. In parliament he was a member of the Committee for SME Issues and a deputy member of the Committee for Transport, Post and Telecommunications.

In Lemwerder, the Ernst-Rodiek-Halle was named after him.
