Ernst Rothenwänder (born April 26, 1947 in Zederhaus ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ or FPS ). Rothenwänder was a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 2009 to 2018 .

education and profession

Rothenwänder attended elementary school in Zederhaus from 1953 to 1957 and then from 1957 to 1961 the secondary school in St. Michael im Lungau . As a result, he graduated from the commercial school in Salzburg between 1961 and 1963 and did military service in 1964. Rothenwänder worked in his parents' business in Zederhaus until 1980. He passed concession examinations and certificates of proficiency for gastronomy and accommodation, transport for local and long-distance traffic, travel agencies and trading in wood and building materials. From 1994 Rothenwänder worked as an earthworker and civil engineer in the construction industry, between 2006 and 2007 he completed a stay abroad, and since 2006 he has been working as a freelance construction manager .

politics

Rothenwänder joined the FPÖ in 1967 and took over the role of local party chairman of the FPÖ Zederhaus in 1984. Since 1998 he has also been the district party chairman of the FPÖ Lungau and has also been the deputy state party chairman of the FPÖ Salzburg since 2005. Rothenwänder has been a member of the municipal council or council of Zederhaus since 1984 and was vice mayor between 1999 and 2004. On April 22nd, 2009 Rothenwänder was sworn in as a member of the Salzburg state parliament. According to his own statements, his main work areas were national defense, agriculture, sport, hunting, nature and environmental protection, spatial planning and land traffic. After the state elections in Salzburg in 2018 , he left the state parliament.
