Ernst Schauss

Ernst Schauss (born February 19, 1906 in Biskirchen , † August 29, 1972 in Wetzlar ) was a German politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school, Ernst Schauss studied vocational school education, economics and social sciences as well as law and political science and worked as a teacher after graduating in 1930 as a commercial teacher. On May 1, 1933, he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 2,369,838). Between 1931 and 1938 he ran his own business school in Wetzlar . Then from 1940 he was director of the commercial college in Königshütte (Upper Silesia) and director of studies at the commercial and vocational schools in Marienburg (West Prussia). In 1944 he was called up for military service and seriously wounded. After the war he worked as a freelance professional educator and from 1958 back in the civil service.

Since 1948, Schauss was a member of the FDP. In 1949 he was second chairman and from 1950 to 1965 district chairman in the district of Wetzlar and later honorary chairman. From 1952 he was a member of parliament and parliamentary group leader of his party in the district council (until 1968). From November 28, 1954 to November 8, 1958 and again from December 1, 1958 to November 30, 1970, Schauss was a member of the Hessian state parliament. In 1964 he was a member of the 4th Federal Assembly .

Ernst Schauss was a board member of the Kreissparkasse Wetzlar .
