Career

Weber was active as a player at SC Brunn, in Mödling, Guntramsdorf and in Großengersdorf. After various coaching positions with Austrian Bundesliga clubs, he joined the ÖFB coaching staff in 1996 . From 1996 to 1999 he was team boss of the U21 national team , then team boss of the women's and the U19 girls' national team. His greatest success as a coach was winning the ÖFB Cup with the then second division club SC Krems .

On April 6, 2011, one day after he had completed a European Championship qualifying tournament with the U19 women’s national team, he died under circumstances that were not entirely clear, presumably voluntarily. He was married and had one son.
