Ernst Wrba (* 1956 in Austria ) is an Austrian living in Germany diploma photo designer and author .

Live and act

Ernst Wrba studied photo design in Darmstadt and Offenbach from 1977 to 1983 and completed his studies in 1983 as a photo designer. He has been working as a freelance photographer in advertising , industry , architecture and tourism since 1983 . His image archive with 200,000 digital and analog photos from over 20 countries specializes in travel topics. He prefers to go hunting for beautiful photo motifs during the blue hour . In the case of commissioned productions, his many years of experience prove to be a decisive advantage when it comes to implementing the respective tasks quickly, reliably and attractively. He published numerous travel guides and calendars as well as over 60 illustrated books.

He has lived and worked in Wiesbaden since 2005 .

Working method

For his illustrated books on Dresden , Frankfurt and Wiesbaden , he first created an archive of historical postcards, which he had mostly bought on eBay , and then tried to find exactly the same angle and take photos from the same perspective with the same focal length . With portrait photography he succeeds in making the sitter smile or relaxed facial expression at the crucial moment without spending a lot of time.
