The Erotokritos T. was a ferry of the Greek Endeavor Lines , which entered service in 1974 as Ishikari . The ship stayed in service until 2010 and was scrapped in India in 2011 .

history

The Ishikari was built under the hull number 387 at Naikai Zōsen KK in Setoda and was launched on September 19, 1974. After the takeover by the Taiheiyō Ferry KK in Nagoya in December 1974, the ship was put into service on the route from Nagoya to Ōita .

In 1980 the Ishikari was lengthened from 175.6 to 188.4 meters and widened from 23.98 to 25 meters. The tonnage of the ship increased from 11,880 to 23,900 GRT .

In 1990 the Ishikari became the property of the Greek Strintzis Lines , which they wanted to put into service as the Ionian Sea. Instead, the ship took up the liner service from Patras to Ancona for the Minoan Lines in 1992 as Erotokritos . In the course of his service, the Erotokritos was used on various routes under several owners. In December 1999 it went to Minoan Flying Dolphins and in June 2004 to Barent Navigation.

In January 2007 the Lucy Lines Navigation Company took over the ship under the name Erotokritos T. After a modernization in Tuzla , it took over the liner service for the Endeavor Lines. After a good three years in service, the Erotokritos T. was retired and sold as Kritos to be scrapped in Alang in December 2010 , where it arrived on January 11, 2011.
