The 2012 Erste Liga was the 18th season of the second-highest Kazakh division in men's football . The season began on April 28 and ended on October 20, 2012. FK Ile-Saulet was able to achieve the championship title for the first time and was thus eligible for promotion to the Premjer League , but voluntarily waived promotion. This made Wostok Öskemen the only club that rose to the Premjer league.

Because of the increase in the league to 18 teams in the following season, there were no relegated to the second division .
