Erwin Kaipel

Erwin Kaipel (born January 19, 1952 in Riedlingsdorf , Burgenland ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). He was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1994 to 2013 and was mayor of Riedlingsdorf from 1987 to 2012.

education and profession

Kaipel began after visiting the elementary school and the high school in 1967, trained as a heating-plumbing , which he completed 1970th He then attended the higher technical federal college in Pinkafeld specializing in mechanical engineering -heating-air conditioning, where he passed the school- leaving exam in 1975 .

After a year at SAW industrial production, he switched to the building construction department of the Burgenland state government in 1976, where he managed the Oberwart branch until 1981 . In 1981 he took over the management of technical operations at the Oberwart specialty hospital.

Political offices

In 1982 Kaipel was elected to the local council of his home community Riedlingsdorf for the SPÖ , to which he belonged until 2012. From 1987 to 2012 he was mayor of the municipality. From 1993 to 1994 Kaipel was a member of the Austrian Federal Council , from 1994 to 2013 he was a member of the Austrian National Council as a member of constituency 1B ( Burgenland South).

Kaipel is a member of the district party committee of the SPÖ Oberwart and a member of the state party committee of the SPÖ Burgenland.
