Sergej Jakirović (born December 23, 1976 in Mostar ) is a former Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player and on the position of midfielder and current coach . He is currently under contract at HNK Gorica .

Career

Jakirović started his career at NK Neretva in Croatia over RNK Split he came into the 1998 Slovakia to Spartak Trnava . After only one half season he went back to Croatia and played three seasons with Istra Pula. After two more seasons with NK Korotan, he was still active with Kamen Ingrad Velika and NK Zagreb before moving to Austria . Internationally, he played six times for the Bosnian-Herzegovinian national football team during this time .

In 2007 he moved to ASKÖ Pasching , from where he was awarded by the Neo-Klagenfurters to NK Rijeka after being renamed SK Austria Kärnten . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he returned to Austria and is now playing for SK Austria Kärnten. Jakirovic made his debut in Austria on March 10, 2007 against Wacker Innsbruck . He was substituted off at halftime by Haris Bukva .

In January 2009 he moved to the Regionalliga Mitte (third highest Austrian division) on loan to SV Spittal / Drau , where he returned to Austria Kärnten after only seven games and is now active in the second team. He returned to Croatia in early 2010 and played in the second and third Croatian leagues until his retirement in 2014.
