Erwin Neuwirth
Erwin Neuwirth (born April 26, 1948 in Vienna , Austria ) is an Austrian actor. He became known through appearances in the television productions Der Landarzt and Ein Schloss am Wörthersee . Today he also works as a university lecturer and book author.
Life
Neuwirth completed his acting training from 1970 to 1973 at the Mozarteum in Salzburg , where he also played Mozart in and Amadeus by Peter Shaffer, the role of Mortimer in Arsen and lace cap by Joseph Kesselring . This is followed by a number of arrangements at various stages in Austria (e.g. Theater Wien Josefstadt ) as well as in Germany ( Theater Baden-Baden , Staatstheater Braunschweig ) and Italy . Film and television productions follow.
In the summer months from 1981 to 1985 he ran the Le Bistro in Reifnitz (municipality of Maria Wörth) on Lake Wörthersee .
From 1988 to 1990 Neuwirth worked as the spa director of the community of Reifnitz Maria Wörth . From 1990 to 1997 he worked in the city parliament of Klagenfurt. He represented the Greens (VGÖ) in the committees for culture and tourism.
From 2002 to 2006 Neuwirth studied philosophy at the University of Klagenfurt . Since his diploma thesis at the University of Performing Arts and Music in Salzburg in 2000, he has been dealing with the "staging of everyday life". In 2006 he completed his dissertation Staged Laughing with the investigation of the applicability of therapeutic humor in the context of hospital stays. Support is only given here and there. a. by Michael Titze , one of the founders of therapeutic humor .
Today Neuwirth teaches rhetoric and phonetics at the German Language Center in Austria of the Alpen Adria University of Klagenfurt and at the University of Hacettepe in Ankara, Turkey .
