Erwin Schaaf

Erwin Schaaf (born March 3, 1933 in Tawern ) is a German historian and educator.

Life and work

Schaaf began his professional career in 1954 as a village school teacher in Kinderbeuern-Hetzhof , where he worked until 1960. He completed his subsequent studies in history , politics and philosophy with a doctorate in 1965 . After teaching at the Educational Science University in Koblenz and the University of Freiburg , he returned to the later University of Koblenz , where he retired in 2000. Schaaf is mainly active in regional and home history.
