Erwin von Seckendorff-Gudent

Erwin Carl Ernst Freiherr von Seckendorff-Gudent (born April 19, 1848 in Wetzlar , † January 25, 1923 in Urach ) was a Württemberg politician . Unfortunately, an incorrect name spelling is used on this WP page - correctly the name ends with GUTEND

Life

Born Eduard Christoph Ludwig Carl Freiherr von Seckendorff-Gutend (1813–1875) as the son of the Württemberg Chamberlain , Councilor and first director of the then State Filial Archives in Ludwigsburg , Erwin von Seckendorff-Gutend studied law in Tübingen . During his studies in 1866 he became a member of the Normannia Tübingen fraternity . He took part in the Franco-Prussian War in 1870/71 and after completing his studies became chief magistrate in Urach, district judge and lord of Deufstetten and Obernzenn . From 1892 to 1920 he was a member of the board of directors of the Urach District Court . From 1882 to 1906 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates as a representative of the knightly nobility , and then of the First Chamber until 1918. He was a legal knight of the Order of St. John .
