Eryk Hampel (born December 3, 1997 in Września ) is a Polish sprinter who specializes in the 100-meter run .

Athletic career and life

Eryk Hampel gained his first international experience in 2015 when he won the silver medal in the Polish 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna in 40.00 seconds. The following year he reached the semi-finals at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz over 100 meters, in which he was eliminated with 10.58 s while he finished eighth with the relay in 40.25 s. At the IAAF World Relays 2017 in the Bahamas, he was eliminated with the 4 x 200 meter relay with 1: 24.78 minutes in advance and then he was sixth at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz in 40.11 seconds the season. At the Summer Universiade in Taipei , he reached the quarterfinals and was eliminated there with 10.74 s, while he was disqualified with the relay in the run-up. He was also disqualified in the preliminary stages at the European Championships in Berlin the following year . In 2019 he reached the final with the relay at the U23 European Championships in Gävle , but could not finish the race there.

In 2020, Hampel became Polish indoor champion in the 4 x 200 meter relay.
