Erythronium taylorii is a species of the tooth lily genus( Erythronium ).

features

The onions are 40 to 70 millimeters in size and almost ovoid. They often form permanent offshoots. The leaves are 18 to 35 centimeters long. The leaf blade is green and elliptical to oblanceolate. The shaft is 25 to 40 centimeters long. The inflorescence is usually one to four flowers , rarely up to eight flowers.

The petals are 25 to 45 millimeters in size and lanceolate. They are colored white, only the bottom one to two thirds are bright yellow. Over time, they will turn pale pink. The inner petals are eyelet at the base. The stamens are 10 to 16 millimeters in size. The stamens are narrow and yellow. The anthers are cream-colored. The stylus are 9 to 11 millimeters in size and white to cream-colored. The scar is more or less unlapped or has lobes that are shorter than 1 millimeter. The capsules are 2 to 4 centimeters in size and obovate.

The flowering time is in spring, from April to May.

Occurrence

Erythronium taylorii in California in Tuolumne County in the Sierra Nevada endemic . The species grows in forest clearings and on rocky outcrops at altitudes of 1,300 to 1,400 meters.
