history
The area of the archbishopric was a mission of the Vincentines until the 1950s . It was founded on May 10, 1910 as the Apostolic Vicariate Ce-Kiam Occidentale, changed its name on December 3, 1924 to the Apostolic Vicariate Hangchow, as which it was elevated to an Archdiocese and Metropolitan on April 11, 1946 .
