The Ésera is a river in the north of the Aragon region in Spain. It runs through the Ebro Basin and is one of the major tributaries of the Cinca .
The Ésera arises at an altitude of 2,500 m on the northern flank of the Maladeta massif in the Pyrenees of the province of Huesca . In its valley are places like Benasque and Campo . It is a typical river of the Pyrenees, the water of which comes from the Aneto glacier and the rainfall there.
The Ésera and the Isábena flow together in Graus . Further south, it is regulated by the Barasona Dam , on which the Aragon-Catalonia Canal is created.
