Esperanza ( Filipino : Bayan ng Esperanza ) is a Filipino municipality in the Sultan Kudarat Province , Administrative Region XII, SOCCSKSARGEN. It has 66,095 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 19 barangays . It is classified as a first income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .
Esperanza is located in the Central Mindanao Basin, on the south bank of Lake Buluan , about 15 km west of Tacurong City . Their neighboring communities are Ampatuan in the north, Lebak in the west, Isulan in the south, and Lambayong in the east.
