espero was a publication for the libertarian social and economic order that has appeared at least four times a year since March 1994 . In the tradition of Max Stirner , John Henry Mackay and Kurt Zube , espero saw itself as a platform for individual anarchism and advocated an undogmatic and domineering society.

founding

The forum for libertarian ideas emerged from the brochure series Lernziel Anarchy (edited by Uwe Timm ) and On the subject (edited by Kurt Zube ) of the former Mackay Society. Espero was founded by Jochen Knoblauch and Uwe Timm. The magazine saw itself as a non-conformist publication and wanted to offer room for discussion for all readers and contributors who tolerate different opinions and seek to represent their own views competently and objectively. espero had a cooperating editorial team in Australia, headed by John (Jörn) Zube, the son of Kurt Zubes.

content

Espero means "I hope". Building on this hope, this alternative journal published controversial discussions on the subjects of the libertarian social and economic order, on the state and politics, on the various forms of rule and non-domination as well as alternative forms of living together on a voluntary basis. “ The answers and suggestions given in espero for building a new form of society can only be understood if you change your perspective, that is to say: the political institutions are simply seen as service institutions and the citizen as a sovereign consumer… ”. With its plea, the magazine would like to discuss non-violent ways that could lead to a "state-free civil society".
