Jochen Knoblauch , also "Knobi" (born August 7, 1954 in Berlin ), is a German anarchist and author . His works include poetry and non-fiction subjects. He was also an editor of books and had a book publisher.

Life

Jochen Knoblauch was active in political circles of the extra-parliamentary opposition in West Berlin since 1969 and graduated from school in 1971. During this time there were first attempts to write poems and two novels. His first book was self-published in 1977.

In addition to his work as an author, Jochen Knoblauch had various gainful jobs: He began an apprenticeship as a decorator, later he was a station sweeper for the West Berlin S-Bahn (the Reichsbahn, a GDR company), and then also an office boy at the Berlin “Tagesspiegel” ". From 1975 he was a member of the pub collective “Zur Linde” in Berlin-Charlottenburg. From 1978 to 1981 the pub collective was closed and expanded into the Ruhr area to Essen, where in October 1978 the pub "Regenbogen" was opened. From 1990 to 2014 Knoblauch was an employee in the catering department at Tempodrom Berlin.

Since 1981, a focus has been on employment in the book trade and book publishing. In 1981 he became a member of the collective "Regenbogen Buchvertrieb" (West Berlin). From 1985, after the insolvency of the Regenogen book distribution, he founded the bookstore, distribution and mail order "AurorA" in Berlin-Charlottenburg. His publishing houses "Edition Kalter Schweiss" and "Edition AurorA" have published books by Fernando Arrabal , Günter Bartsch , Irene Goergens , Maria Hasterock, Linton Kwesi Johnson , Alexandro Jodorowsky (first text edition in German), Hubert Kennedy , Paul Lafargue , Hermann Nitsch and others . a., partly in cooperation with other publishers.

From 1990 he began to write again as an author for various newspapers and magazines, from some daily newspapers to magazines such as the telegraph (magazine) of the East Berlin Environmental Library about the grassroots revolution - for a non-violent, domineering society and Contraste - newspaper for self-organization up to small literary magazines, as well as various book contributions.

From 1994 to 2013 Knoblauch was, together with Uwe Timm , editor of the magazine " espero - Forum for Libertarian Society and Economic Order". From 2020 "espero - Libertarian Magazine | New Episode" (editors: Markus Henning, Jochen Knoblauch, Rolf Raasch and Jochen Schmück ) was revived. From 2005 he was the author of the literary series "Agition free" No. 2–9 with different texts that were not offered for sale but only given away to friends and acquaintances. The editions were between 50 and 99 hand-signed copies. From 2012 to 2017 he was an employee of the Kulturring Berlin eV at the AG Rosa Winkel, which deals with the recording and research on the subject of persecution of homosexuals during the Nazi era in Berlin.
