Ethel Thomson Larcombe
Ethel Thomson Larcombe (born June 8, 1879 in Islington , London as Ethel Warneford Thomson , † August 11, 1965 in Budleigh Salterton ) was an English tennis and badminton player .
She celebrated her greatest tennis success in 1912 at the English tennis championships at Wimbledon , when she defeated Charlotte Cooper in the final. She also won the mixed competition in 1914 with James Parke .
In 1903 and 1904 she also won the doubles competition at Wimbledon, but it was not until 1913 that it became a real component of the All England Lawn Tennis Championships.
In badminton she won eleven times in the All England , five times in singles, four times in doubles and twice in mixed.
