Ethyl β-apo-8'-carotenate is an ethyl ester of 8'-apo-β-caroten-8'-acid, a carotenoid . It was used as a food coloring in the food industry . It was approved in the EU as a food additive with the number E 160f , but is no longer used by industry in Europe today.
