Eugène Cyrille Houndékon (born January 28, 1960 in Cotonou , Benin ) is Bishop of Abomey .

Life

Eugène Cyrille Houndékon was ordained a deacon on February 2, 1986 . He received on July 5 in 1986 by the Archbishop of Cotonou , Christophe Adimou , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 20, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Abomey. The Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for Bishops , Cardinal Bernardin Gantin , donated him episcopal ordination on February 3, 2008 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Cotonou, Marcel Honorat Léon Agboton , and the Bishop Emeritus of Abomey, Lucien Monsi-Agboka .

Houndékon speaks several foreign languages, including the German language, which he learned in 1989 during a language stay.
