Eugen Graf Czernin von und zu Chudenitz , also Eugen Graf Czernin or Eugen Czernin (born January 1, 1851 in Prague , † May 12, 1907 in Kotor , Dalmatia , today Montenegro ) was a member of the Bohemian Parliament and the Austrian House of Representatives .

Life

Eugen Graf Czernin von und zu Chudenitz was the son of the landlord Ottokar Graf Czernin (1809–1886) and brother of Theobald Graf Czernin (1836–1896). He attended a grammar school in Prague and from 1867 studied law at the University of Prague , which he obtained in 1876 with the title Dr. iur. completed. Eugen was consistently awarded his academic title Dr. because he was often confused with Eugen Jaromir Franz Czernin von und zu Chudenitz , who also called himself Eugen Czernin for short and was also a member of the Austrian House of Representatives during the VII legislative period (X session) between 1887 and 1891.

He was a landowner in Vinoř in the Karolinenthal district , today a district of the Czech capital Prague, and a board member of the Landesbank for Bosnia and Herzegovina . Between 1886 and 1907 he was also Vice President of the Bohemian Horticultural Society. He was a member of the Bohemian Landtag and the Austrian House of Representatives .

He was a Roman Catholic and remained single.

Club memberships

Eugen Czernin became a member of the Český Club (Bohemian Club, conservative large estate) in 1887. From 1891 he was in the Conservative Club, from 1897 he belonged to the group of deputies of the Bohemian conservative landowners, whose deputy chairman he was from October 21, 1901.
