Eugen Jaromir Franz Graf Czernin von und zu Chudenitz , also Eugen Graf Czernin von und zu Chudenitz or Eugen Czernin , was baptized as Eugen Jaromir Franz de Paula Wolfgang (born February 13, 1851 in Vienna ; † November 5, 1925 in Petersburg , Bohemia ) Member of the Austrian House of Representatives .

Life

Eugen Jaromir Franz Czernin was the eldest son of Jaromir Graf Czernin († 1908) and brother of Franz Jaromir Eugen Czernin von und zu Chudenitz , who was also politically active. Both sat together for some time in the Czech state parliament and in the Austrian parliament . He was the beneficiary of the Chudenitz Fideikommiss in Bohemia. From 1906 he administered and from 1908 he owned the Primogenitur -Fideikommiss Chudenitz, Neuhaus , Petersburg , Schönhof etc. in Bohemia.

Eugen Czernin was chairman of Slovanská Beseda in Vienna from 1910 to 1918 and from 1910 president of the Modern Gallery of the Kingdom of Bohemia in Prague .

In 1911 he became a Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece (see list ).

He was a Roman Catholic and from 1876 married to Franziska Princess Schönburg-Hartenstein, with whom he had no children. He was the son-in-law of Prince Alexander Schönburg-Hartenstein and brother-in-law of Siegfried Altgraf Salm-Reifferscheidt, Count Friedrich Schönborn , Count Johann Ledebur-Wicheln and Prince Alois Schönburg-Hartenstein .
