Franz Jaromir Eugen Graf Czernin von und zu Chudenitz , also Eugen Graf Czernin von und zu Chudenitz , Dr. Eugen Graf Czernin or Eugen Czernin , baptized as Franz de Paula Jaromir Eugen Wolfgang Casimir (born March 3, 1857 in Vienna , † April 9, 1932 in Neuhaus , Bohemia ) was a large Czech landowner .

Life

Eugen Czernin was the second eldest son of Jaromir Graf Czernin († 1908). His older brother was called Eugen Jaromir Franz Czernin von und zu Chudenitz , who was politically active. He attended grammar school , studied law at Charles University in Prague and received his doctorate in 1874. He began his career as a civil servant in Moravia and became district governor in Znojmo . In 1899 he left the state administration because of a conflict with the officer corps .

He lived in Krásný Dvůr Castle and after the death of his brother in 1925 in Jindřichův Hradec Castle . He remained unmarried and childless.
