Eugen Huth

Eugen Huth (born February 16, 1901 in Vohwinkel , today a district of Wuppertal ; † July 3, 1976 in Wuppertal) was a German CDU politician .

After attending secondary school , Huth, who belonged to the Free Evangelical Congregation, completed an apprenticeship as a printer . After completing his master's examination, he founded his own printing company in Vohwinkel, Eugen Huth KG .

In the Weimar Republic , Huth joined the Christian Social People's Service (CSVD), for which he ran unsuccessfully for the Reichstag in 1930 . He was a soldier in World War II.

In 1945 he participated in the founding of the CDU, of which he became district chairman in 1947. Huth was a member of the Wuppertal city council and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1949 to 1961 , to which he was always directly elected in the constituency of Wuppertal II .

In 1967 he was awarded the ring of honor by the city of Wuppertal .
