Eugene Jardin

Eugene Jardin (born October 27, 1947 in Hanover , † April 1992 in Paris ) was a German-American artist .

biography

After his birth in Germany, Jardin grew up in South Africa . There he studied at the Michalis School of Art , University of Cape Town . After living in London , New York and Los Angeles , he moved to Santa Fe in 1988 . In 1992 he stayed in Paris for a long time to prepare an exhibition. He died of HIV in the American Hospital .

Artistic work

Jardin became known for expressive sculptures, mainly made of synthetic resin . His works can be found in various museums as well as private collections etc. a. by Johnny Carson , Jodie Foster , Jane Seymour , David Hockney , Pia Zadora , Wolfgang Puck and John Schlesinger .
