Eunice Chebichii Chumba (born May 23, 1993 ) is a Bahraini long-distance runner of Kenyan origin who has been eligible to compete in Bahrain since 2014.

Athletic career

Eunice Chumba gained her first international experience at the Marrakech Half Marathon 2014, where she won in 1:10:46 h. While she could not finish her race at the London Marathon , she was sixth in the 10,000-meter run at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea . The following year she was second in this discipline at the Arab Championships in Manama and the Asian Championships in Wuhan . She also came in second in the Cape Town Marathon and third in the Karlowitz Half Marathon. In 2016 she did not compete on the track, but finished second in the Copenhagen Half Marathon, won the Dongying Yellow River Marathon and finished third in the Amsterdam Marathon. In 2017 she took part in the World Cross Country Championships in Kampala and finished eleventh there. She also won the half marathons in Copenhagen and Lisbon and the marathon in Beirut. She finished fourth at the 2018 Half Marathon World Championships in Valencia and second at the Beijing Marathon. At the end of August, she again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she won the silver medal over 10,000 meters in 32: 11.12 minutes.
