The German company Eurest (complete: Eurest Germany GmbH ) is an operator of company restaurants based in Eschborn . In 2012 the company achieved a turnover of 686 million euros with around 18,500 employees .

Eurest supplies around 270,000 guests a day in the restaurants, canteens , coffee bars and shops operated by over 700 customers. This makes Eurest the market leader in Germany, followed by Aramark .

Eurest was founded in 1974 as the Europäische Restaurations GmbH Eurest Germany by Nestlé and Wagons-lits .

After ten years of existence, Eurest had 1,500 employees who generated sales of the equivalent of 55 million euros with 111 customers. The French Accor Group took over Eurest in 1991. The number of employees rose to over 5,300. Eurest has been part of the British Compass Group PLC since 1995 . By 2005 the number of employees rose to over 9,000. On October 1, 2006, HSG Höchst Service Gastronomie GmbH , Frankfurt am Main , was merged with Eurest Deutschland GmbH. Eurest held 100% of the shares in HSG Höchst Service Gastronomie GmbH since January 1st, 2001.

In 2008 Eurest achieved a turnover of 602 million euros. In the following year, 2009, sales rose to 614 million euros and the number of employees rose to 13,800. With the acquisition of the Bremen menu delivery service Menke in 2011, the company expanded its product portfolio and increased the daily number of meals by 10,000.
