The Eurocar AG is the official manufacturer of the vehicles of the Volkswagen AG brands in Ukraine , where the group of companies Atoll Holding belongs. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of passenger cars in Ukraine. According to the Federation of Employers of the Auto Industry of Ukraine, the company ranked second in the country in 2013 by volume of the auto industry. The share of the plant in the total volume of the vehicle industry is 25%. The production capacity is 80,000 vehicles per year (SKD Montage - 30,000 vehicles, CKD Montage - 50,000 vehicles per year) with the potential for capacity expansion. The production facility has its own rail terminal, which can carry out transport to the European Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States .

The plant is located on the M 06 trunk road near the town of Chop in the village of Solomonovo ( Соломоново ) in Uzhhorod Raion in the Transcarpathian Oblast, two kilometers from the Hungarian and Slovakian borders near the Solomonovo industrial park. According to the development plans, the park will be used as the basis for the first car clusters in western Ukraine. It is to be expected that the majority of the components and supplier parts required for the SKD assembly of the vehicles will be produced by the residents of the industrial park.

history

Construction of the production facilities began on July 23, 2001. The plant was commissioned on December 19 of the same year. Series production of the Škoda Octavia began in April 2002 . The first Škoda Fabia rolled off the production line in August 2002 and the Škoda Superb in March 2003 .

In October 2003, the start-up of the second production line for the production of the model series of Volkswagen vehicles. Audi brand vehicles followed in March 2004 .

In 2006 production was expanded to include the SEAT León . In the same year, the first SEAT Altea and SEAT Toledo of the Ukrainian manufacture were manufactured by the factory and the approval for the MKD production received. In 2008 the first new generation Škoda Superb was produced.

Production of two new models began in 2013: the first Škoda Rapid was delivered in March and the first third-generation Škoda Octavia А7 in June.

Production lines of the plant are equipped with the equipment of advanced world manufacturers, for example, Transsystem (Poland), Chropynska Strojirna (Czech Republic), EISENMANN (Germany) and others. Eurocar has a number of technological innovations, software and operating personnel that ensure flexibility of the production process and have technical solutions that are unique in Ukraine.

The bodyshell and paint shop, which went into operation in 2011, enabled the plant to advance to the new level of industrial full production of vehicles that meet all global quality standards.

The company produced a total of 145,099 vehicles between 2007 and 2013.

Production quality

The company's strategy is focused on the exclusive attention to production quality, ensuring high standards of occupational health and safety and operational safety as well as openness and care for customers.

In 2003, the factory's quality assurance system was certified for compliance with the international ISO 9001: 2000 standard. In 2009 Eurocar introduced the integrated management system according to the international standard ISO 9001: 2008. Certification and monitoring tests are carried out by the Prague representative office of TÜV NORD CERT GmbH (Germany). Every year, Eurocar confirms the validity of the certificate on the application of the company's quality management system.

In October 2009, Eurocar successfully received the OHSAS 18001: 2007 certificate, which confirms the use of the modern and effective occupational health and safety system on the company that meets the highest international requirements. The independent audit confirmed that all work operations are carried out with modern technological equipment and tools that meet European and Ukrainian quality standards, occupational health and safety.

Operating personnel working in the production areas have received special training in the Czech Republic at the Škoda Auto as factories.

Products

Since 2001, 29 different vehicle models of the Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda brands have been manufactured (or continue to be manufactured) at the Eurocar plant.

At the moment, all production capacities of the company are concentrated on the production of Škoda vehicles. 11,494 vehicles were produced in 2013.

All vehicles manufactured are sold in Ukraine. According to the 2013 results, 11,772 Škoda vehicles were sold. The renewal of the model range, development of the dealer network, high standards of customer service and effective marketing policy in 2013 enabled Škoda to strengthen its position with a market share of 5.75% (7th place in the car market). The Fabia, Superb and Octavia models managed to take second place after sales in their class, and the Rapid model - third.

environmental Protection

The technological equipment used at the plant ensures low energy consumption and a high level of ecological cleanliness of the processes. Special cleaning systems are used on the farm to create the normal ecological status.

To reduce water consumption and its pollution, there is a system of recooling water supply for the technological systems. All electrical energy and heat that are generated during the testing of the drive units to reduce consumption are returned to the factory network and are used for production needs and for heating the operating areas.
