European Christian Political Youth Network
The European Christian Political Youth Network (official name: European Christian Political Youth Network , ECPYN for short) is an organization that brings together Christian , politically active young people from all over Europe . ECPYN tries to support these young people in order to strengthen Christian politics in Europe. The ECPYN is associated with the European Christian Political Movement .
Emergence
The ECPYN was founded in Kortenberg ( Belgium ) in July 2004. Founding members were PerspectieF (Junge ChristenUnie ) from the Netherlands and other European Christian political youth organizations, such as B. the Young Evangelical People's Party and the Young Federal Democratic Union (from Switzerland ). The establishment of the ECPYN was one of the results of the "International Summer School" in which young people from all over Europe took part.
Events
Since 2004, the ECPYN has organized the "International Summer School" at a different location every year. The event includes speeches, workshops and excursions on a political issue. In 2005 the Summer School was held in Lunteren (Netherlands), 2006 in Birstonas ( Lithuania ), 2007 in Würzburg ( Germany ), 2008 in Chișinău ( Moldova ) and 2009 in Risan ( Montenegro ).
