Evžen Hadamczik [ ˈɛvʒɛn ˈhadamtʃɪk ] (born October 28, 1939 in Dolní Benešov , † September 19, 1984 in Ostrava ) was a Czech football player and coach . With Baník Ostrava , he became Czechoslovakian champions in 1980 and 1981.

Evžen Hadamczik played for Spartak Dolní Benešov and Sokol Kravaře in his youth. He did his military service with Dukla Cheb. After an injury, he had to end his active career at the age of 22 and became a coach.
Trainer
His first station was from 1963 to 1970 Spartak Dolní Benešov, which he led to the fourth division. From 1970 to 1977 he worked at Ostroj Opava , with whom he reached the second division.
In early 1978 Hadamczik took over the coaching post at Baník Ostrava. He saved the team from relegation and won the Czechoslovak Cup with her. In the following season, Baník advanced to the semi-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup and became Czechoslovak runner-up. The team also won the Czech Cup. In the next two seasons Ostrava was national champion. In 1980/81 they made the quarter-finals of the national championship cup. 1981/82 and 1982/83 Baník Ostrava was each runner-up. However, Hadamczik was replaced by Stanislav Jarábek . He had previously received an offer from Rapid Vienna , but received no approval.
From 1982 to 1984 Hadamczik looked after the Czechoslovak Olympic team, he was also responsible for the national team in one game. On August 23, 1984, the ČSSR lost 1: 2 to the GDR in the Steigerwald Stadium in Erfurt .

Evžen Hadamczik hanged himself on September 19, 1984 in his garage in Ostrava.

Every year FC Baník Ostrava organizes an international youth tournament in indoor football , the Memoriál Evžena Hadamczika .
Evžen's brother Alois Hadamczik is an ice hockey coach and has been responsible for the Czech national ice hockey team since 2010 .
