Eva-Maria Alves

Eva-Maria Alves (born September 27, 1940 in Osnabrück ) is a German writer .

Life

Eva-Maria Alves completed a traineeship at a daily newspaper after taking her school leaving examination in 1960 . She then worked as an editor and freelance journalist . She stayed for a long time in Austria , Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union . In addition to her journalistic work, Alves is also active in literature; In 1982 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . She has lived in Hamburg since 1979 .

Eva-Maria Alves is the author of novels , short stories , poems and radio plays . In 1992 she received a Hamburg Prize for Literature .
