Eva Šuranová , b. Kucman (* 24. April 1946 in Ózd , County Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén , Hungary , † 31 December 2016 in Bratislava ) was a Slovak athlete who - for the CSSR starting - 1965 was active until the 1975th

Already under her birth name Kucmanová she was successful in long jump , sprint , hurdles and pentathlon . In her strongest discipline, the long jump, she became vice European champion. In addition, until today (2006) she is the only Slovak athlete who could win a medal at the Olympic Games. With a height of 1.72 m, her competition weight was 58 kg.

Eva Šuranová last lived in Bratislava .
