Arab Air Carriers Organization
The Arab Air Carriers' Organization ( AACO ; Arabic الاتحاد العربي للنقل الجوي, DMG al-ittiḥād al-ʿarabī li-n-naql al-ǧawī ) is an association of Arab airlines . It was founded in 1965 by the Arab League with the aim of promoting cooperation and standardizing quality and safety among Arab airlines. The seat is in Beirut .
tasks
Work is currently underway to develop Arabesk , an alliance of regional airlines. This should consist of the companies Egypt Air , Gulf Air , Middle East Airlines , Oman Air , Yemenia , Tunisair , Royal Jordanian , Turkish Airlines and Saudi Arabian Airlines . It is planned to coordinate the flight plans in order to be able to offer a network of 500 destinations worldwide. Joint ticketing, codeshare offers and a frequent flyer program will round off the offer.
The AACO works closely with the international aviation organizations IATA and ICAO .
