Jordan Aviation ( Arabic الأردنية للطيران, DMG al-Urdunniyya li-ṭ-Ṭairān ) is a Jordanian charter airline based in Amman and based at Queen Alia International Airport and a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization .

history

Jordan Aviation was founded in 2000, where it also started its flight operations with flights to the Middle and Far East as well as Europe and Africa . It also offers wet leasing for other airlines if they need more aircraft during the peak season. From 2005 onwards, part of the traffic volume consisted of flights resulting from contracts for UN peacekeeping forces. According to its own information, Jordan Aviation is the only privately financed airline in Jordan.

In 2012 an A-330 was leased for about a year , and in autumn 2016 another machine of the type was made ready for the company.

Problems

In the meantime (in 2016) Jordan Aviation was no longer allowed to operate its Boeing 767-200ER, which it had acquired in 2008, in the airspace of the European Union due to repeated safety deficiencies. On November 30, 2017, it was no longer on that prohibited list.
