Air Rum was a charter airline from Sierra Leone , based in Amman , Jordan . The airline was founded in 2002 by Mohammad Abu Sheikh (President and General Manager).
Destinations and fleet
Air Rum only operated charter flights. It is (as of June 2016) on the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union . In March 2015, Air Rum's fleet consisted of one aircraft, a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar .
Incidents
On September 20, 2005, a plane manned by soccer fans from Gambia simulated a lack of fuel on the way to Lima , so that they had to make an emergency landing in Piura . On that day Gambia played against Qatar as part of the U17 World Cup in Piura . The machine was secured and the Peruvian authorities investigated.
