Transatlantic Airlines (also TransAtlantic Airlines or Trans Atlantic Airlines ) was an airline in Sierra Leone with headquarters in Freetown . It was founded in 2003 and liquidated in 2006. No active flights were carried out at any time.

In 2003, Transatlantic Airlines applied for permits to fly from Freetown International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport and Baltimore-Washington International Airport in the United States . The company also wanted to fly to Lagos in Nigeria and Banjul in Gambia . It should leased Airbus 330-300 are used. The application for permits was carried out without the consent of one of the shareholders and managing directors and without the financial resources being available. The first flight was scheduled for October 30, 2003.
