Inter Tropic Airlines was an airline based in Sierra Leone . It was founded in 1999 and wound up in 2006. The last regular flight probably took place in 2002 and ended with an aircraft accident involving an Embraer EMB 110P1 Bandeirante ( 9L-LBR ) at Hastings Airfield in Freetown .
Inter Tropic Airlines had at least three planes:
- 2 Embraer EMB 110; the second machine ( 9L-LBS ) is also in disrepair at Sherbro airfield .
- 1 Antonov An-24 ; is (as of 2011) in Nigeria .
In 2006, the airline was on the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union for a few months .
