Eva Brandt
Eva Brandt (* 21st January 1933 in Oschersleben , Free State of Prussia ) is a German sugar technology - engineer and Low German author .
Life
Brandt grew up in the Magdeburg Börde and went to school in the city of her birth. After graduating from high school , she studied sugar technology in Köthen , became an engineer and then worked for the Zucker-Zeitung in Berlin . In 1964 she married the chemist Hans Brandt, moved with him to Schwedt and worked there at the city museum. In 1985 she returned to Oschersleben and worked there as a museum educator until she retired .
In his private life, Brandt devotes himself to cultivating the Low German language, especially the East Westphalian Platts. Since 1990 she has written over 1000 Low German columns for the Volksstimme published in Magdeburg , some of which are also available in book form. She also wrote some children's books .
Eva Brandt is married and lives in the house where she was born in Oschersleben.
