Eva von Platen

Eva von Platen (born July 18, 1965 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German artist, filmmaker and professor of fine arts .

Biographical

Eva von Platen began studying painting in Florence in 1987. She then studied visual communication from 1988 to 1994 at the Offenbach am Main University of Design . In 1995 she received a working grant for New York City from the Hessian Cultural Foundation . At the same time, von Platen was working as a draftsman and director of commercials. From 1997 to 1999 she undertook postgraduate studies in the field of media and film at the Art Academy for Media Cologne .

After working as a writer for film and stage, from 2002 to 2005 she worked as a draftsman and illustrator for the children's television station WDR. In 2003 and 2004 she was teaching visual communication at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences . Since 2005 she has held a professorship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg . Eva von Platen has received many awards and grants for her work. Her illustrations have appeared in international publications and magazines. She participated in numerous film productions.
