Evangelical Church Holzhausen II

The Evangelical Church in the village of Holzhausen II of the Hille community is the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Community of Holzhausen-Nordhemmern, which belongs to the Minden parish of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia .

According to an inscription at the entrance on the south side, the Renaissance church was built in 1560.

architecture

Layout

It is a hall building with a three-sided end in the style of the Renaissance. Inside, pillars with blind arches support a wooden ceiling. The windows are in two parts with a straight lintel .

The west tower may be older.

Furnishing

The oldest art objects preserved in the church are two bronze chandeliers from the Renaissance . A gallery dates from 1710. The organ was built in 1973 by Gustav Steinmann Orgelbau in Vlotho .
