Evans Rutto , also Evans Rutto Limo , (born April 8, 1978 in Elgeyo-Marakwet County ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in marathon running.

Career

Evans Rutto finished fifth in the 1999 World Cross Country Championship. At the 2001 World Half Marathon Championships he was sixth and second in the team in 1:00:43 h.

In 2003 he won the Chicago Marathon in 2:05:50, the best time a newcomer to the marathon had ever run. The following year he won the London Marathon and a second time in Chicago, again with times below 2:07. In 2005 he finished tenth in London and fourth in Chicago, and in 2006 tenth in London.

Evans Rutto is married and has three children. He has been trained by Dieter Hogen since 2003 .
