Evaristo Lucidi

Evaristo Cardinal Lucidi (born October 4, 1866 in Montefranco , Province of Terni , Italy , † March 31, 1929 in Rome ) was a Curia Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Evaristo Lucidi studied Catholic theology and philosophy in Rome . After his ordination , he performed various tasks in the Diocese of Rome . For more than twenty years he was director of the Institute San Girolamo degli Schiavoni . From 1904 he worked as secretary of the commission for the revision of the provincial councils. In 1908 he became pro-secretary of the finance department of the Congregatio de Propaganda Fide . In 1916 Pope Benedict XV appointed him . as Secretary of the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signature . Pope Pius XI accepted him in 1923 as a cardinal deacon with the title deaconry Sant'Adriano al Foro in the college of cardinals .

Evaristo Lucidi died on March 31, 1929 in Rome and was initially buried in the Campo Verano cemetery. In June 1929 his remains were transferred to his birthplace and buried in the parish church there.
