history

Emergence

In September 1999 Patrick Hoke, Thorsten Finner and Andreas Ott met while skating. Soon they decided to start a band. Finner and Hoke wrote lyrics, Ott borrowed a bass and drummer Sönke Jäger was also enthusiastic about the idea via demo tape. They made their first appearance in the same year in front of 500 visitors in Rotenburg . Soon afterwards, the band members met Sebastian Schecker, who gave them the idea of renting an empty property between fields and forest. From then on they rehearsed in the "Butze". Everlaunch has played in the same line-up ever since.

In the following years the band members founded their own booking agency and in 2002 recorded the LP [past] on their own. They recorded everything from alternative to Brit-Pop stylistically to their own liking. Three years later, "Plastic Affairs" also appeared single-handedly. Musically, the band developed in the direction of indie and pop. Finner took care of all the artwork, Ott became an accountant, Hoke took on the PR work, Schecker became a live technician and Jäger drove the band from gig to gig in his VW bus. Everlaunch also traveled to Poland, where they shared the stage and applause with the Beatsteaks at the Rockowy Festival . At a support gig for Eskobar , Everlaunch went straight to the stage without a sound check, in the Hanoverian club “Intensivstation” their backstage was under a cathouse and in Thannhausen they played in front of a handful of people in a huge hall. They performed regularly in the “Padam” in Riepe.

2005 to 2010

During one of their performances, promoter Folkert Koopmans discovered the band and so Everlaunch played 2006 at the Hurricane / Southside Festival. At the beginning of 2007 the Hamburg studios MOB, Karo and VOX with producer Michael Hagel (Kettcar, Grönemeyer) produced the first real record “Suburban Grace” with strings, synths and keyboard sounds. Timo Dorsch joined Michael Hagel as the band's producer. Heiko Wessels ( mightytunes ) became Booker, Edition mightytunes / Budde Music Berlin to the publisher and Folkert Koopmans ( FKP Scorpio ) invited the band again to the Hurricane Festival in summer 2009 and also sent them to Southside , Area4 and the Highfield Festival . In February of the same year, the Oasis concert in Düsseldorf had to be postponed because of Liam Gallagher's larynx infection , and new support was sought. MCT and the booker Christopher Brosch were approached and the band was signed. Everlaunch performed in front of 9,000 spectators on February 4th, 2009.

Since 2010

The second studio album was released on March 16, 2012. Everlaunch already presented their single Speed of Light on Yagaloo TV and KenFM .
