Evert Nilsson
Evert Nilsson ( Evert Reinhold Emanuel "Västervik" Nilsson; born October 22, 1894 in Gamleby, Västervik , † February 14, 1973 in Vikingstad , Linköping ) was a Swedish decathlete .
At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 he was fifth in the decathlon and tenth in the pentathlon . In 1924 in Paris he was ninth in the pentathlon and gave up in the decathlon after four disciplines.
Four times he was Swedish champion in the decathlon (1920, 1923, 1925, 1926) and three times in the pentathlon (1921-1923). His personal best in the decathlon of 7459.470 points he set on July 19, 1925 in Halmstad .
