Evidence
Evidence (* 10. December 1976 in Los Angeles , California ; bourgeois Michael Perretta ) is an American rapper and hip-hop - producer . He is a member of the Dilated Peoples group .
Career
Evidence was born to an Italian and an American of Russian descent. At the age of six, after his parents' divorce, he and his mother moved from Santa Monica to Venice . There he was interested in skateboarding and graffiti in his childhood . When he moved again at 12, he met QDIII , the son of Quincy Jones . From him he learned to produce. From 1992 he was part of the Dilated Peoples group. It wasn't until 2007 that he released his solo debut, The Weatherman LP, via ABB Records , after numerous albums and singles with the group . He had planned this since 2001, but was unable to implement it due to a contract with Capitol Records that ended in 2006. In 2008 he made The Layover Mixtape , mixed by DJ Skee , available for free download on the Internet . It served as preparation for the EP of the same name , which was released on November 21, 2008 in Germany. Enclosed was a DVD with four music videos from the EP and two from the album The Weatherman LP . He published another video for a song from the EP on the Internet, as well as one in February 2009 for the single For Whom The Bell Tolls .
