Evolution So Far is a hardcore band from La Spezia , Italy . She is not for profit and offers her music for free download on her website.

history

Evolution So Far was created in 2001. The band members played together in other local bands before that. The band has only played a few concerts outside of Italy and is under contract with the NH-N Records label . The label became aware of them after receiving a demo recording from the band. Following the release of a split - EP with the originating also from Italy Ribbon For I Am Blind appeared to her in February 2004 in eight days recorded debut album The Armies of Bitterness . The title comes from the book Frucht des Zorns ( English The grapes of wrath ) by John Steinbeck . During the recordings they slept in tents next to the studio building. Shortly afterwards guitarist Manuel left the band and was replaced by Kei. The following year another split EP appeared together with Gargantha from Treviso . The band did not officially split up, but there has been no sign of life since 2017.

style

The music is melodic, the songs short and the lyrics mostly have a strong left-wing political message about topics such as war , racism , homophobia and fascism . The band's style has been compared to that of bands like Strike Anywhere and Good Riddance . You see yourself in the tradition of some hardcore bands in the USA from the 1980s as well as newer bands such as Kid Dynamite , Born Against , Paint It Black and the two above.

They performed live with Agnostic Front .
