Ewigheim is a band from Thuringia , founded in 1999 , consisting of Eisregen drummer Ronny "Yantit" Fimmel and The Vision Bleak singer Allen B. Konstanz.
history
The band was formed in 1999. The debut album Murder Not Without Reason was released on February 18, 2002 via Prophecy Productions . The Eisregen members Theresa Trenks and Michael Roth appeared as session musicians on the album . On October 1, 2002, the band released the EP Auf die harte Kultour as a limited 7-inch vinyl record.
The second studio album, Heimwege , followed on September 27, 2004 via Prophecy Productions. After the album it became quiet around the band for a long time. It was only over seven years later that a new release appeared on April 27, 2012 with the single Dürrer Mann . The third studio album, Regret Nothing , followed on May 25, 2012 via Massacre Records . On January 18, 2019, the seventh, current album Irrlichter was released via Golden Church.
style
Ewigheim's musical spectrum is broad and primarily corresponds to different variants of metal. Ewigheim draws on elements of alternative metal , dark metal and new German hardness as well as borrowings from gothic metal and alternative rock through to piano passages, strings and electronic borrowings . In reviews, the publications of the group are often compared with the works of Type O Negative and Rammstein for a more precise classification . As the band name suggests, the lyrics deal mainly with death (including murder and suicide ) and passing away, which is sometimes handled very ironically (e.g. corpse at sea , humus humanus ). A self-description used again and again by Ewigheim is "blood, excrement, flowers and sunshine" .
