Ezra Orion
Ezra Orion (born August 16, 1934 in Beit Alfa , today Israel , † October 18, 2015 ) was an Israeli sculptor .
life and work
Orion was born in Kibbutz Beit Alfa and grew up in Ramat Yohanan . He studied first at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem , then from 1964 to 1967 at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and finally at the Royal College of Art in London . In 1967 he had his first solo exhibition at the Museum of Art, Ein Harod and the Museum of Modern Art in Haifa .
The artist lived and worked from 1967 to 2000 in Kibbutz Sde Boker in the Negev . His works consisted of monuments, installation art and land art , which are located in Israel.
